CrosSynergy Syndication Subscription details

This is only a summary of the main aspects of the Syndicate subscription. Contact us if you would like to examine the complete subscription agreement.

• The crosswords are delivered to the publisher electronically in batches to cover one to two weeks (5 or 10 puzzles) at a time and in advance of publication. The crosswords are delivered at least 48 hours before scheduled publication.
• Each puzzle is designated for a particular day and can only be published (i.e., made publicly available) on that day. The crossword cannot be published earlier than 10PM EST on the day before the designated day. The puzzle should not be published or continue to be published 14 days after the earliest allowed time publication without prior permission of CrosSynergy syndicate and payment of any applicable republication fee.
• There are no credits for unpublished puzzles. Previously published puzzles can be re-published only with the prior permission of the CrosSynergy syndicate and payment of any applicable republication fees.
• The Syndication fees are billed in advance at the beginning of each month period starting from the first day of publication with the net due in 30 days. The fees must be paid by the due date to maintain an uninterrupted supply of crosswords.
• Crosswords will be delivered in Across format suitable for use with Literate Software Systems' Across Lite software and will be guaranteed to work with all current Across Lite versions. Crosswords published in this format are meant to be used exclusively with Literate Software Systems' crossword software. Any other use is forbidden without prior permission of CrosSynergy Syndicate.
• The crosswords are licensed for online distribution only and in the form supplied as a whole and must not be translated, altered, printed, converted into any other media format, or have derivative works created from them for distribution. Copies of the crossword can be made by the licensee only as consistent with reasonable site update and backup procedures.
• CrosSynergy Syndicate retains ownership of the crosswords and reserves all rights not explicitly granted in the distribution license.
