The released version of Across Lite can be licensed for distribution in its original form or in some customized form. Both per unit and blanket licensing can be arranged. The pricing is extremely reasonable and becomes even more so depending on number of units distributed and/or initial purchase volume.
The basic distribution license includes on-line support for end-users and an approximately 50 page manual in color PostScript which includes the complete documentation as well as a step-by-step tutorial that introduces all aspects of Across Lite in easy to follow steps. This manual is NOT included in the complimentary copy distribution. The manual can also be customized to suit your needs.
Optionally, we can also undertake the tasks of providing copies of the software and manual in ready-to-ship form (individual labeled diskettes and printed and bound book), packaging as well as telephone support for additional costs. The library allows you to provide a feature in your crossword creation software to export constructed puzzles in Across format. The library can be provided in a statically linkable or dynamically linkable form for many of the supported platforms. The licensing involves a one-time fee for the export library kit that includes complete documentation and a nominal per unit fee that is small enough to not force you to raise the cost of the software. Note:Authors/publishers with currently marketed crossword construction software that are interested in being involved in the beta testing of the library are eligible to have the one-time fee waived for the release version of the library.
